What Is The Treatment For Tension Migraine?

Hi, I am 5'3" and weigh 173 LBS. I have had migraines for the last 5 years now but nothing like this. 4 nights ago I woke up to a sharp, constant pain just above the knot in the lower part of the head. ( Just above where the head and neck meet and over to the left about a quarter of an inch). I got dizzy, confused, and began seeing "snow" and was finding it hard to talk due to my jaw locking up. I have also been experiencing pressure in my ears. I went to the hospital and I was sent home with the diagnosis of a tension migraine. I am still having this pain 4 days later. I am concerned it could be something more. Any ideas?
