What Is The Treatment For Thickening Of Uterus?

my m.d.s ofc said i have a thickening of the uterus...does this mean i have cancer i am 69 yrs old and recently had a hospitalized bout of diviticulitis. when they said i had a thickening of the uterus it scared me to death. i have recovered from the diviticulitis, pls help me
