What Is The Treatment For White Spots Around The Lips?

Hello doctor. For a while now both my upper and lower lips and it's surrounding turns white. I do lick my lips lots of time. It's been happening for about a year now. During the summer it went away and came back around last fall and this winter. What should I do?
