What Is The Treatment To Get Rid Of Pale Skin?

I have very pale skin, and try to get a full body skin exam at least every other year. The last time I went for an exam, the doctor barely had me remove my clothes and spent just a few minutes looking me over. Without being too forthright, how can I request a more thorough exam? I'd rather be safe than shy.
