What Kind Of Surgery Is Suggested For Cyst On The Pancreas?

My nephew has pancreatist from drinking. He has been in and out the hospital for the last year. We live in a small town so they have had to transfer him to larger hospitals several times. He is back at Wake Forest Hospital and they say he will have surgery on Friday. The last time he was here they said his pancreas was rotten in at least half of it. Now they say he has a cyst that has grown. I would like to know what kind of surgery they could do. He is at the hospital by himself no family at this time has went. What should I do?
