What Leads To Chylous In Infants?

My newborn grandbaby was born with a heart issue and had surgery is still in the NICU. Now baby has something called chylous which is a result of the surgery (I think). The drs are telling my daughter that they want to use low fat formula instead of breast milk. I don t feel that s right. Isn t it always best to go with breast milk?
