What Leads To Raised Heart Rate And Skipped Beats?

Hi.I'm sure my heart races and skips beats which I've had for yrs with no problem.Just checked my heart rate and it says 107 while sitting watching TV. I'm 36 yrs old and weigh 8st 11 and only 5ft 2.Is my heart rate too high considering I'm at rest?
