What medication would be safe and effective for anxiety and depression in a 71 year old woman who has had a hemorrhagic stroke? My mom had her 2nd hemorraghic stroke almost exactly 1 year apart. She did not have any of the typical risk factors. She had recently been put on Paroxatine prior to the 1st stroke. It was continued until after the second stroke. We believe that this might possibly have had a factor in both strokes. I can supply more info. if needed. Any help would be so greatly appreciated!!
