What Precautions Should Be Taken For Sun Burn Around The Eyelids?

hi, my problem is sunburns around the eyelids. i would like to know what the long term effects look like if the eyelid skin all around the eye is burned. what kind of spots can occur. I would also like to know what i can do to prevent it from further happening and if there would be something that i can do to prevent or reverse the problem.
