What Started Out A Year Ago As A Dry Scaly

What started out a year ago as a dry scaly itchy bump on my calf was removed by a dermatologist. She called it something said they were seldom cancerous and it wasn't. she said it could grow back and it has along with others. Trouble is, they itch like crazy but bleed and hurt when I scratch them. Is there something over the counter I could use to make them go away? They are hard and feel like a hard bump.
