What To Do For The Severe Pain After The Surgery?

hello i recently had a foot-ankle surgery for bone correction and it required some nail like things and i have a cast on it now. im having severe severe unbareable pain and my doc prescribed 2 pain killers midrone and tramal( night use only). the pain goes away for 3 hours and comes out severly. what is the strongest analgesic that i can take and for how many times max? the nails are for 6 weeks , how long am gonna feel thus severe pain?
