What To Do For The Spots On The Base Of The Spine?

I have a spot on the base of my spine which was diagnosed as benign about 6 months ago. Recently it has enlarged slightly ( it is about tje size of a £2 coin) and I have has some yellowy/brown discharge which is now reddy/brown. It is a little swollen and tender to touch but is not painful. Should I be concerned?
