What Would Cause Me To Break Out Into Hives ?

What would cause me to break out into hives ? Earlier today I shot a roxy 15 . And a few hours later I did a shot of methods with the same needle and it burnt a little going in . But I re checked it and drew blood back so I continued to inject . Afterwards my arm got hot and soon after broke out into hives . What was the cause of this ?
