When I close the fingers on my right hand and try to re-open it, the middle finger seems to get stuck in the halfway open position. I can open it without the aid of the other hand, but it "pops" into the open position. There is no real pain, but it feels like it's "hanging up". I feel it when I close my hand too (the feeling of it popping into position), but it closes with normal effort. It only does it when opening the hand. All the other fingers open fine, but the middle finger gets stuck in the half open position. Early in the mornings, it feels like it's swollen, but after a few minutes that feeling goes away, but it does keep getting "stuck" in the hallway open position, after making a fist or just lightly closing my hand, until I use extra effort to get it to open all the way. It does this pretty much all the time now. I have not injured it (that I know of). I'm a male - 51 years old. This has been going on for a few months now. I have tried Advil and Aleve to reduce any swelling that it may be, but it continues to be an issue. Any clue what this may resemble or be symptomatic of?
