When I Cough I Feel A Painful Electric Shock All

When I cough I feel a painful electric shock all over my body that takes my breath away and feels like I'm on fire for a few seconds after the coughing has subsided. Every part of my body hurts even my eye sockets. I haven't been coughing a lot but when I do it hurts me. Not in my chest or my lungs at all. What could be causing this painful sensation?
