When I Fixed Toast His Morning, I Noticed It Was

When I fixed toast his morning, I noticed it was a little painful to chew on back left side. I have no pain or fever, or earache or toothache but have developed swelling the size o a large goose egg in back jaw area. I've had mumps as a child and I've also had the shingles shot, but I'm thinking this symptom is questionable for mumps. What else should I be looking for an what should I watch for. Very slight sore throat earlier.
