When I Go In The Sun For Any Length Of

When I go in the sun for any length of time my hands and feet break out in a rash. This last exposure I have had severe swelling as well. What could this be related to and is there anything I can do. I am very active and love the outdoors. With how bad this has progressed over the last 4 or so years, I will not be able to spend anytime outside.
