When I Go To Bed, I Can't Lay On My

When I go to bed, I can't lay on my side because I have pain in my hip and legs. The left side is the worst but both sides ache. I have lost 40 pounds in the last year with a program of walking 3.23 miles 3-4 days a week. I have reached a plateau so I added the rowing machine and a stationary bike (20 min each) when I don't walk. (2-3 times a week) My lower back is tender also but not painfully so. Left leg has tender hamstring but seems to be improving. I am diabetic.Getting up and moving around feels better than laying down. Could I just be dehydrated?? I am 69 years old.
