When I Go To Bed I Generally Lay On My

When I go to bed I generally lay on my left side at first. When I do so my intestines start to rumble, gurgle, and basically sound like Mt. Fuji erupting. There's no gas issues with all these noises. When I roll onto my back or right side everything settles down and is quiet. Is there a reason for for this? I'm female, age 65.
