When I Sit Down, Under My Left Buttock, I Feel

When I sit down, under my left buttock, I feel like I'm sitting on something. At first I thought was the seam of my jeans but even without pants on I still feel it (like a lump) When I palpate both buttocks there doesn't appear to be anything different that I feel? What could that lump or seam be?
