When I Was 14, I Had A Kidney Disease Wherein

When I was 14, I had a kidney disease wherein the kidneys failed to properly filter the urine. Protein was coming out and toxins were staying in. Back then, the doctor called it "nephrosis", but I understand now that is a general term for kidney disease. I'd like to know the proper name of this condition for my medical history. Thanks!
