When I Was A Baby, I Was Taken To The

When I was a baby, I was taken to the Shriners hospital because one side of my body was and still is bigger than the other side. I have never had a problem, medical or otherwise, with the difference. Is there a name for this condition.

When I was 36, I had an MRI scan done because it was thought I had a pituitary tumor, instead it was discovered there was a problem with the nerves in my neck. I was told that if I was in an accident, I could get killed. I was told that the nerves in my neck did not go down my spinal cord the way they are supposed to.

Also, several of my health care professionals have asked me if I have scoliosis because my shoulders are hunched. At the present time I do not have any pain because of these conditions, but I am curious about what they are and if I should get any treatment. I am now 65 years old.

Thank you for your assistance.
