When I Went To The Hospital To Get My Ear

When I went to the hospital to get my ear wax taking out my left ear, it was some white stuff on the tip of it. And after I could hear again out my left ear, my ear started to hurt a little bit like a irritation light pain. What was the whit stuff at the end of my ear wax and did I get my ear drum ruptured from the doctor using cold water being used to flush my ear wax out? I'm worried.
