Whenever I Swallow I Have Bad Tooth Pain On My

Whenever I swallow I have bad tooth pain on my lower left jaw. It's odd, because I dont feel any pain when chewing just swallowing. I went to my dentist but he sees nothing wrong with any of my teeth so he didn't know what to do. Any ideas on what else it might be?
