While Interpreting Sign Language Today, My Daughter Experienced A Pinch

While interpreting sign language today, my daughter experienced a pinch or snap in her arm above her elbow. There was a sharp pain that lasted only briefly but followed by a burning sensation, tingling and numbness. This happened a number of times when she moved her arm in a certain position. She is still in a long do discomfort. Any ideas of what has happened? Should she try heat or ice? Thank you.
