Why Am I Having Cramps And Pain After Cervical Polyp Removal?

I had a large cervical polyp removed. I had some pain and bleeding for a couple of days, then got my regular monthly period with my regular cramping. After the period ended everything seemed fine, no more pain or bleeding. Two days after the period ended, which was 9 days after the removal, I ran a 5k race and after the first 2 miles I started having quite a bit of pelvic pain and cramping again. I finished the race and the pain lessened but did continue for the rest of that day. That was 2 days ago and I am still have some cramping and pain. Is this normal or did I just do the race too soon after the procedure?
