Why Am I Menstruating Every Week Postpartum?

hi i have an eight mths old baby. Well after he was born i am not sexually active at all. My husband thinks i'm no longer attracted to him. I menstruate every week which was not normal before the baby was born. I need to know if it is normal to feel this way?
