Why Am I Not Getting My Periods, And Could I Still Be Ovulating If I Have A History Of Irregular Cycles And Want To Get Pregnant?

Hi i am (female 26 yrs old) Why am i not getting my periods ? My periods have always been irregular, I use to not get them when i was in school because i played sports.. ive been on birth control before to regulate them but haven’t taken for years. I am wanting to get pregnant but not sure if i am even ovulating please help thank you.
