Why Did I Have Only Spotting Instead Of My Normal Period This Month?

My period usually starts at the beginning of the month and it was normal last month but some reason just two days ago it acted like it was gonna come down but I only have had some spotting and today it s gone . Is their something I should worry about because I haven t had this happen before
