Why Do I Have Pain In Hands And Arm Whenever Weather Changes?

everytime the weather changes my hands and my left arm hurt. first it was only the left hand on the thumb joint but it spread. i never broke a bone or have any medical history. all women in my family have bad blood circulation so my hands and feet are always cold. i dont know if thats important or not though. when i have the pain there is no visual sign, no change of color or swelling. warmth seems to ease it and "tigerbalm". what could be wrong with me and why is it spreading so fast? please help
