Why Does A Soft Tissue Appear In The Windpipe?

my doctor just told me they found (in a chest xray) soft tissue density windpipe; vessels into my left lung and swelling of lymph nodes. I am suppose to have surgery next week to remove a brain tumor (3rd tumor in 3/4yrs..pititaury tumor, scalp tumor and a tumor wrapped in my balance, hearing and facial nerve) what does this new finding mean?
