Why Does One Snore Loudly?

Hi there! just had a septoplasty and coblation turbinoplasty last december 13, 2010. Days after the surgery my snoring stopped relatively quickly as advised by the doctor but days moving forward i began to snore really loud again after i had a follow up check up on December 23, 2010 for cleaning the scabs inside my nose. as per the doctor, i had to put vandol and bactroban inside the nose for faster treatment, but the problem is that's also the time when i started snoring really loud and by the way i also smoke as well. i really don't know why that's happening since the purpose of the surgery is for me to sleep quietly.
