Why Does Pain Persist Even After Bladder Infection Treatment?

I went to hospital a few weeks ago because i was suffering from pain just above the right hip bone, it also felt as though my hip itself was bruised but they said i had a bladder infection which spread to my kidneys. I have since had treatment for the infection and the pain was getting better (sharp painful stabbing pains) i finished my antibiotics but the pain still seems to be there every now again. The pain is inconsistant, but it does increase signficantly after and during exercise. I have also noticed a strong urine smell on my knickers which are damp when i havent drunk enough water. What could it be?
