Why Does The Head Turn Extremely Hot & Sweaty?

I have two herniated cervical discs. One of my symptoms is overheating, especially when I lay down. My head gets extremely hot and then I sweat. I can't stand to have covers on and usually have to strip off my clothes during the night. Can this be caused by two herniated discs?
