Why Hasn’t My Ear Fungal Infection Improved With Drops, And Why Am I Still Deaf In That Ear?

Hi I have had a problem with my ear for nearly 6 weeks. Dr prescribed drops that blocked up ear so I went and got ear cleaned out but then it was noted that there was a sore in then ear and to keep using the drops. I went back to drs and he took a swab and the result came back that it was a fungal infection not a bacterial, I am on another drop to clear that up, I have been using the new drops for a week now and nothing has changed. I am pretty much deaf in that ear now and am wondering if u can shed any light pls
