Why Have Not Got My Periods For Three Months?

I haven’t had my piriod for more then 3 moths I already took 2 pregnancy test it said negative this usually happens but this is the first time that’s been this long I’m trying to go to the doctor but I don’t know what to say should I say I’m going for a check up or what ?
