Why Is Primoult Prescribed While Trying To Conceive?

iam 25 years old lady trying to convince. since 1 year no any result now we r counseling to doctor she gave me hponoid tablet for 1 month and folic acid ,now iam all readY 12 days late for period, today i checked home pregnacy test but it shows negetive. still no period also what can i do shall i wait more days ?
when i talked to my doc she told me to take primoult-nor for 5 days.
i dont know why?

please help from this.
