Why Is A Kidney Specialist Referred To Despite No Apparent Kidney Problems?
My mother, 83 years old was sent for sonogram on her kidneys by her general practitioner. She has no complaints but was referred after blood and urine screenings. The sonogram didn't show any problems but now her doctor is referring her to a kidney doctor. We don't know why. What reason could there be if she isn't having any problems?
