Why Is My Anal Abscess Still Draining Pus?

Hi,
I have an anal abbcess wich was drened by a sourgeon 9 days ago.
I still feel pain for 4 to 6 hours after i'm going out and than I'm fine for the rest of the day. The pus is still coming out but less than in the first days post surgery?
I would like to know if this is normal and I would also kindley ask yuo to give me any other usefull advise on what shoul I do in order to get healed as soon as possible.
