Why Is My Nail Growing Under The Skin?

hi, back in october i stubbed my toenail really bad, and a few weeks ago the old nail fell of and there was a new nail about half way grown under it. But it seems like the nail is growing under the skin but im not sure it is hard to explain. It seems like the skin is over the top of the nail. Is it an ingrown nail or nothing to worry about?
