Why Is My Tragus Piercing Painful?

I got my tragus pierced a few weeks ago. About 3 days ago, it began hurting all around the piercing and into my jaw a little bit. It hurts to smile or move my jaw very much. It is also very swollen. It is not having any sort of discharge and it is not red. Is it infected or is this just part of the normal healing process?
