Why Is The Bleeding Heavy During Menstruation?

i am taking cerazette and have been for the past six weeks. Just begining my seventh week today. My problem is bleeding constantly sometimes quite heavy. I am 50. my question is: is this likely to change if i continue for the next six weeks( the remainder of my prescription)
