Why Is There Discharge From Breasts And Lump Like Sensation?

Dear doctor. This is complicated and agonising. My sister, an engineering student in Guwahati, Assam, has pain in her breast for a while. She also has slight discharge from the breast which looks like blood. She said she could probably feel a lump too. We are very scared and can't take her to a cancer institute as this will terribly scare her. Should we see a general physician first to be sure and then move on with specialist? Please advice.
