Why The Menstrual Periods Are Late?

My period was late and lately i've been feeling sick to my stomach. i keep throwing up and i've been having slight fevers and lower back pains along with a really sharp and tense pain in my side and stomach cramps. Is there a possiblity that I could be pregnant?
