Why Would Colposcopy Be Ordered After A PAP Smear Test?

i had a Smear test results mild dyskaryosis 2 weeks before xmas and have had a letter to say i need a colposcopy... why would i be sent for one straight away, im really worried about it... i had treatment for severe dyskariosis 15 years ago and have up until now had normal smears
