Why Would My Doctor Prescribe Propranolol Hcl Er Caps If

Why would my doctor prescribe Propranolol hcl er caps if I don't have high blood pressure? I called in to find out what to take for headaches since she had me on naproxen bid and when I fractured my ankle the ortho said not to take it because it would soften the bones and healing would take longer. This medicine showed up on my insurance claims and I've never heard of it nor did I get a call from the dr office telling me it was being prescribed. I'm also concerned because I don't want BP meds on my records when my bp is fine.
