Will Ferium Cause Constipation In An Infant?

I m asked to give ferium xt 0.5 ml daily. Will this cause constipation. My daughter is two and half months old. Her birth weight was 2.25 kg and now she is 4.3 kg. She used to pass stool twice daily. After giving this supplement she has not passed stool.
