Will Metformin Correct Ovulation Problem And Medroxyprogesterone Induce Periods?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS . I am suggested to take Metformin. will it help in rectifying ovalution. Also I was given medroxyprogesterone tablet to induce periods. when will my periods come. I was asked to have it for 5 days but still I have not got my periods even after 4-5 days
