Will Mirena Coil Removal And Insertion Be Easier Now?

I am 50 years of age. I got the mirena coil fitted 5 years ago and I understand it is now time to get it removed, I have made an appointment at my doctors to discuss this. I had to have a general anasthetic to have it fitted as I have a tilted womb. For the past year and a half I have had a period every 2 weeks. Will it be easier to remove it and will i get another one fitted at my age?
