Will POP Birth Control Suppress The Ovaries?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I am a 30 yr old female w/ history of dvt, factor 5, and 3 recent episodes of luteum cyst rupture requiring hospitalization. My doc has put me on POP birth control, will this supress my ovaries?
